Haji Mohammad Ibrahim Haqqani, a senior member of the Haqqani Network, is the paternal uncle of Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the current Interior Minister, and leader of the Haqqani Network, and the brother of Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, who presently serves as Minister of Refugees and Repatriation in the Taliban's government. During the Taliban regime in the 1990s, Ibrahim Haqqani served as Deputy Minister of Tribal Affairs under his older brother, the late Mawlawi Jalaluddin Haqqani, a member of the Taliban's cabinet at that time. Born in the late 1950s, Ibrahim Haqqani is sanctioned by the United States and is listed on the UN's sanctions list under the designation TAi.042.
