Directorate 12 is a specialized unit within the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI), the Taliban's intelligence agency. The 12th Directorate is reportedly in-charge of monitoring and overseeing the presence and activities of foreign terrorist/militant groups, including al-Qaeda, within Afghanistan.
