Mawlawi Abdul Khaliq Sadiq currently holds the position of Deputy Minister for Quality Assurance at the Ministry of Education. Born in 1973 to the late Haji Lal Mohammad, he received his early education at Noorul Madaris Farooqia Islamic Center in his hometown of Laghar in Ghazni province. He then pursued studies at Benawri International Islamic Center in Karachi, Pakistan. Following his graduation in 2003, Abdul Khaliq Sadiq spent 16 years teaching at Mahmoudia Farooqia madrassa in Karachi and subsequently joined the Taliban movement. During the 1990s, he served in various capacities under the Taliban regime, including as the head of the Customs House in Kandahar province, special representative of the regime in the city of Quetta, Pakistan, and member of the education/higher education commission. His contributions extended to serving as a foreign relations officer of the education commission based out of Karachi.
