Mawlawi Abdul Qayyum Roohani was appointed as the Governor of Khost province in late June 2024. Before assuming this role, he served as the Deputy Governor of Nimruz province from October 2023 to June 2024. Prior to that, he held the position of Deputy Governor of Herat province.
