Mawlawi Abdullah Mukhtar was appointed to his current role as Deputy Minister of Supplies and Logistics at the Ministry of Interior in June 2023. Prior to his current appointment, he served as governor of Paktika province as well as the provincial Chief of Police for Kunar province.
