Mawlawi Ezzatullah Haqqani, also known as Ezatullah Khan Sayyed, currently serves as the Deputy Auditor General of Finance and Legal Affairs at the Supreme Audit Office (SAO). Prior to assuming this role in January 2023, he managed a different portfolio within the same position. A former member of the Taliban’s Peshawar Shura, he previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Planning during the Taliban regime in the 1990s. Born in 1957, he is reportedly listed on the UN’s sanctions list under the designation TAi.064.
