Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani, a veteran member of the Taliban's leadership council, served as Minister of Communications and Information Technology from late June 2025 to May 2026.
Prior to this role, he was Minister of Urban Development and Housing from January 2023 to June 2025. Earlier, he served as acting mayor of Kabul.
During the Taliban's rule in the 1990s, he held positions as Minister of Higher Education and mayor of Kabul city. Born reportedly in 1968, he is currently listed under United Nations Security Council sanctions regime under the designation TAi.044.
