Mawlawi Mohammad Moslim Haqqani serves as an advisor at the Office of the Taliban's emir, Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada, in Kandahar province. In the 1990s, Moslim Haqqani held various senior positions in the Taliban's regime, including serving as the deputy minister of Hajj (pilgrimage) and religious affairs and as the deputy minister of higher education. During the U.S.-Taliban negotiations in Doha, Qatar, he served as a member of the Taliban's Political Office in Qatar. Born in the mid-1960s, he is a prominent Taliban businessman and speaks fluent Arabic and English. Notably, he is reportedly listed on the UN's sanctions list under the designation TAi.073.
