Mawlawi Mohammad Rabbani Nasih presently holds the position of Director of Monitoring and Supervision at the Office of Administrative Affairs. Before this appointment, he served as the Deputy Governor of Nangarhar province from February 2022 to July 2023. During his time as deputy governor in April 2023, he publicly commended an individual named Mohammad Naseem, who was responsible for the killing of two American troops in Paktika in 2011. Mawlawi Nasih is reported to have close ties with Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
