Mohammad Salim Haqqani currently serves as a Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Interior. A veteran of the Taliban's Peshawar Shura, he was reportedly a deputy commander under Mawlawi Ezzatullah Haqqani during the Taliban's insurgency. Ezzatullah Haqqani, who is sanctioned by the United Nations under the designation TAi.064, is currently the Deputy Auditor General for Finance at the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) in the Taliban's government. In the 1990s, Salim Haqqani served as the Deputy Minister of Preventing Vice and Propagating Virtue during the Taliban's regime. Born in 1967, he is listed on the UN's sanctions list under the designation TAi.079.
