Mawlawi Ziaul Haq Hamid assumed the position of Provincial Chief of Police in Kunar province in early July 2024. Prior to this, he served as the Chief of Police in northern Takhar province from August 2023 to July 2024. Before his position in Takhar, he was the Chief of Police in Kapisa province from February 2022 to August 2023. Notably, he is affiliated with the Haqqani Network.
