Mullah Naseebullah Zubair was appointed Chief of Staff of the 215 Azm Military Corps in Helmand province in late November 2024. Prior to this, he served as Provincial Chief of Police in Helmand province from mid-August 2024. Previously, he was the Brigade Commander of the Fifth Border Brigade within the 205 Al-Badr Military Corps and Chief of Staff of the same Corps in Kandahar province, starting in October 2022. Before these roles, he commanded the 3rd Border Brigade, also known as the Obaida Brigade, in Kandahar province.
