Qari Abdul Wali Seddiqi has been serving as the Director General of Ariana Airlines, the state-owned national airline service, since mid-August 2024. Prior to assuming this position, he was the Director General of the National Procurement Authority, the main agency responsible for overseeing and coordinating national procurement activities for the central government, within the Office of Administrative Affairs. Before that, he held the role of Chief of Staff at the Office of Administrative Affairs within the Taliban's Council of Ministers. In the 1990s, he served as the Third Secretary at the Taliban Consulate General in Peshawar, Pakistan. Born in 1974, he is listed on the United Nations sanctions list under the designation TAi.133.
