Qari Abdul Wali Seddiqi has served as Deputy Minister for Finance and Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Public Health since early August 2025.
Prior to this role, he was Director General of Ariana Airlines, the state-owned national carrier, since mid-August 2024. Before that, he served as Director General of the National Procurement Authority — the main government agency responsible for overseeing and coordinating national procurement activities — and as Chief of Staff at the Office of Administrative Affairs under the Taliban's Council of Ministers.
In the 1990s, he held the position of Third Secretary at the Taliban Consulate General in Peshawar, Pakistan. Born in 1974, Abdul Wali Seddiqi is listed on the United Nations sanctions list under the designation TAi.133.
