Qari Mohammad Ayub Khalid assumed his role as Governor of Badakhshan province in September 2023. Prior to this role, he briefly served as Governor of Kunar province from May 4 to June 25, 2023, and as Corps Commander of the 207 Al-Farooq Military Corps in Herat province from October 2022 to May 2023. Preceding these appointments, he served as the Corps Commander of the 203 Mansoori Military Corps in Gardez, Paktia province.
