Mawlawi Abdul Ghani Faiq took on his current position as Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Justice in October 2022. Prior to this appointment, he served as Governor of Badakhshan province from November 2021 to October 2022. His past experience includes serving as a member of the Taliban’s Political Office in Doha, Qatar, until August 2021.
