Mawlawi Amanuddin Mansoor, a seasoned member of the Quetta Shura Taliban, is the current Commander of the 217 Omari Military Corps in Kunduz province, a command formerly known as the 217 Pamir Military Corps under the previous Afghan government. Before taking on this role, he served as the Governor of Badakhshan province from October 2022 to June 2023 and, before that, as the Commander of the Air Force General Command in Kabul province. Additionally, he held the position of Deputy Commander of the 209 Al-Fatah Military Corps in Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh province, in the months following the Taliban's takeover.
