Mawlawi Inayatullah Shuja was appointed Deputy Minister for Border Supervision at the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs in mid-October 2025. Prior to this role, he served as Governor of Uruzgan province from February 2024. Before that, he was Deputy Governor of Logar province, a position he held since September 2022.
Earlier, he briefly served as Governor of Logar province from March to September 2022, before being demoted to the deputy governor position within the same province. Preceding these positions, Inayatullah Shuja served as Deputy Minister of the National Disaster Management Authority from November 2021 to March 2022.
