Mohammad Ammar Yasir previously served as a staff member in the Taliban’s Political Office in Doha, Qatar, a role he held from 2013 onwards. Additionally, his brother, Ahmad Zmarak Yasir, currently serves as the Defense Attaché at the Taliban Embassy in Moscow, Russia.
