Mawlawi Mohammad Shoaib Risalat was appointed as the Governor of Samangan province in late May 2024. Before taking on this role, he served as the Governor of Faryab province from October 2022 until May 2024. Preceding that, Mohammad Shoaib Risalat held the position of Governor of Jawzjan province from November 2021 to October 2022.
