Qari Bakhtiyar Maaz is the current Governor of Maidan-Wardak province. Before assuming this role, he served as the provincial Chief of Police of Kunduz province from May 2022 to April 2023. Prior to that, he held the position of Governor of Baghlan province, to which he was appointed in November 2021.
